Course Contents

Lectures on basics of knot theory and mathematical models for
the DNA recombination of ciliates.

Current, on-going research projects and progresses are discussed.

Students participate in research projects.

Research tools are explained, such as LaTeX, arXiv, MathSciNet,
that are needed to conduct research.

Background material is posted on a web site, so that it is available
whenever needed. It is updated throughout the semester.

Projects and results are updated continuously throughout the semester,
so that the participants are able to look up the most current status of projects.

Students give inputs on building and maintaining the web sites.
